Second Indoor Game Wrap-up

Yea SuperStars! It was a complete shut out of the Hot Shots with the final score being 5-0.
Remember they gave us some competition last fall outdoors.....aren't paybacks nice? They just make you feel a little better about the last meeting.
Our next opponent are the Pink Panthers. As we told you all before, this is a tough division so we take nothing for granted. So we scouted a little, but not really: Our older daughter (Anissa) played on Sunday and we got there a little early to watch the game before because they are the two teams we are playing next: Pink Panthers vs Lonestar. It was a hard fought first half but those PPanthers wore down and Lonestar took the 2nd half by storm. Final=5-1.
Those Pink Panthers are big girls & look really tough but we can take 'em. They play 4 forwards and 2 defenders but seem to tire easily. So our defenders will be busy and hopefully, our forwards will maximize on fewer defenders. We say this tongue in cheek because they may have been missing some key players or something...ya never know.
Hopefully, we can go into the Lonestar game undefeated since as most of you know, that is our biggest rivalry.

Friday Game

White shirt with royal shorts and royal socks. Indoor shoes or plain only.

Soccer indoors rarely cancels a game due to weather, but I will call you if they do.

Practice on Saturday

Due to the long layover and a gracious parent who got us some FREE time at Premiere Sportsplex, we will practice on Saturday at 1:00pm -2:00pm. Be there about 10 minutes early so we can use all our time.

NOTE: It is an indoor facility but it can get a little chilly so bring a light jacket for inside; bring water bottle; shin guards; and your ball.

Premiere Sportsplex is located at 9000 Memphis Dr. (90th & Memphis)

Special thanks to Jereme Ragsdale (Emi's dad). His company SignDesign does some business with Premiere and was able to get this time for us.

First Game Review

We were all there so we know the girls did great! A little early...a little jittery...a little tired..a little quiet......but they looked great so we can only anticipate that they will get better. We looked structured, organized and our goalies did so great considering this was our first ever goalie game. Of course, our reputation precedes us and the indoor soccer put us in the A-division who appear to be the "better" teams so they will only be more difficult as we play more. So thankfully, we got all those jitters worked out.

Final score was officially 7-3 but they only showed 6 of our points on the board because they only had one person running clock, concession, etc so they missed one. SuperGirls are usually a very good team, too so maybe they had some jitters also. Next time we play the SuperGirls, they will know what to expect so we'll have to play harder.

We know we weren't planning on practicing during the season, but with the huge layover of almost 2 weeks---we may try to squeeze just one in. We can work on alot of defense where it seems most of the other teams tend to catch up with us. Jereme (Emi's dad) is potentially getting us some time at Premeire SportsPlex since he does alot of sign work for them. So if we get free time indoors, we WILL take it. We will call all of you if this happens.

First Indoor Game

Time: 8:00 AM ( Be there by 7:50 am! )

Team: SuperStars VS SuperGirls

We had a great practice saturday at Cook Park. This was a great opportunity for our goalies to work on their positions. They are just learning that position so it is important that they practice at home. Picking up shots and punting out the ball. Keep up the good work Chloe and Lexi!

Please keep the girls conditioned as much as possible. Have them run around and stay active.

Make sure you have your Indoor ID by game time saturday. If you do not have one yet you can go out there any weekday 6:00-10:00pm or weekend 8:00am - 10:00pm. I will be at the complex Friday January 11th at 7:00 to get Anissa's ID. Ps. Lonestar is playing the Hot Shots at that time also!

Please have the girls sleep early next friday and set your alarm early for saturday. Make sure and let them eat a light breakfast like cereals or a donut. Please be on time at the game.
