Game Rescheduled

Date: Thursday May 1
Time: 6:00pm (be there 5:40)
VS: Rave
Field: B9

No practice this thursday since we have a game instead. Please be at the field by 5:40pm I will be out there at 5:30. Should be hot so bring water and your bag and ball.

I am so proud of the girls. They looked awesome last saturday. That was an impressive win against a team that had just lost two games. Again 5 different forwards scored and we held them to a shutout. We are on a shutout streak of 5 games in a row. Good job girls.....We have been scoring nine or more each game, the funny thing is we are missing 10-15 shots at the goal a game! Good job staying in your zones and taking shots when the ball is in your area. Remember to dribble and cut and pass if your in trouble!

Make sure the girls bring their bags and ball to each game and that we line them up along the seats.

We have Lonestar coming up may 10 so to get ready for that we will be practicing two times next week! We need everyone to show up to both practices so we can beat them!!

Practice: Tuesday May 6 6:30-7:30pm (Conditioning)
Practice: Thursday May 8 6:30-7:30pm (Skills-Game situation)

See yall this Thursday..... Stay healthy!! Coach Desi ps.Call me if you will not make it to this thursdays game. 632-6650

7-0 Way to Go!

The girls played a great game saturday. We had 6 girls score points, this is what I am looking for to make us an awesome team. It will be hard for any team to beat us when all seven of the forwards are able to score at any given time. We need to keep working on dribbling and cutting and building up our passing for next season. I always tell the girls to stay in their zone and be patient, the ball will come!

The defense once again did a tremendous job, another shut out for them! No one has scored on us the last four games. Keep up the good work, remember to flow with the ball and power kick once it gets to you. I would really like for you guys to try to score from midfield!

Now back to earth, :) the next three teams should be a lot tougher. We have Lady Broncos, Rave, and Lonestar! lets keep to the basics, attack the ball agressively and we should come away with the wins.

Please make sure you arrive early saturday because our softball girls will be missing the first half for sure. They have a game at 12:00 and at 1:30. (double header) I need Ali, Lexi, Mailey, Chloe, Adriana, and Sarah to make sure your there well before the game starts!

It will be hot again saturday so bring plenty of water, and especially your bag and BALL.

Practice: Thursday 6:30 - 7:30 Cooke Park

Game: Saturday 3:00pm ( be there by 2:30)
VS Lady Broncos

We do not have a sponsor for the West Texas Invitational in Lubbock on Memorial Day weekend so between now and May 8th I need to collect $10 from each player. Please bring it to me and I will keep track of who has paid. Thanks......

Great Tournament Showing!

We had an awesome time at the Kohl's Tournament--despite the cold and wind. Look on the Lubbock Soccer Association website to see if & when the pictures show up.
We shut-out each of our opponents and scored more than 10 points in each game. We even had some defenders playing foward and vice-versa. This was a great opportunity to have the girls play alternate positions and work on their other skills.
Next game: Saturday, 4-19 vs Shooting Stars @ 3:00 pm
Practice: Thursday, 4-17 @ 6:00pm (earlier due to scheduled cold weather)

Practice Update

There is no Practice today. April 10, however I will be out there between 6:15 and 6:45 to hand out schedules and tournament shirts!

Remember the Kohls tournament is this weekend and we are playing 3 games. Call me if you cannot make any one of them please. 632-6650

Game 1: 11:00am VS Bratz B5 Be there at 10:30am!

Game 2: 3:00pm VS Freeze B5. Be there at 2:30pm!

Game 3: 7:00pm VS Happy Feet B5. Be there at 6:30pm!

It is going to be COLD all day saturday. Make sure the girls wear a White long sleeve shirt or thermal under their tournament shirt, White tights or thermals under their shorts, and if possible a White or Royal headband to warmup their ears, if they have any cotton or non-zipper gloves they will be allowed to wear them! They cannot wear jackets over their jerseys their number on the jersey must be showing!

They need to wear their new tourney shirt, same shorts and socks. Bring bags with ball, shinguards and water.

Thanks again to Lexis dad Allen Banuelos and his business TumbleWeed Body Shop for sponsoring our tournament and shirts. Make sure to thank him and call him for any repairs.

We still need a sponsor for the West Texas Invitational here in Lubbock in May. It is $125 dollars for entry fee and they can also buy the girls shirts with their logo for $60 more dollars. If we do not get a sponsor we will just each pitch in $10 and get in the tournament any way.

See yall saturday and dress warm! Coach Desi............

Second week/Third game

Yea for our girls! They have played 3 games in two weeks and done phenomenal...The first quarter versus the Pink Panthers was a little scary, but we wore them down. Unofficially, the score was 9-3..but to us, it's official.

Keep the girls practicing their skills..dribbling in the yard around trees, swing sets, anything.......practice shooting against the fence or house (whichever can take the abuse)...just keep the skills up.

Practice: the usual...Thursday, 4-10 @ 6:30 Cook Park
Games: Saturday, 4-12-Kohl's tournament, 3 game times, will pass out schedule at practice

As always, call or e-mail for questions/comments

Brrrr.... It was Cold!

It was really cold. I don't see how the girls without jackets or undershirts were able to play. It was a little scary at first but we managed to pull a win 4-3. Extreme has always been one of the elite teams. I truly believe if it was a warm day we would have won more impressively. Great job on offense and defense. We are going to need a strong game this saturday against the Pink Panthers, they have some tall girls with very strong legs.

I spoke with one of the LoneStar coaches and he told me they had a close win game with the Pink Panthers last night. In the second half alone while we were there Pink Panthers scored 4 and Lonestar had only scored 2. I told yall all the teams are getting better so there will be less blowouts now and more close games.

Practice: This Thursday at 6:30. Cooke Park

Next Game: Saturday April 5
Time: 1:30 PM (Be there by 1:00)
VS: Pink Panthers Field B4
