What a great win. 14-0, I couldn't ask for anything more! The girls looked great. I saw a lot of hustling and attacking of the ball. The dust bunnies are a lower division playing up, their coach said they are one of the top teams in that division. Good job showing them U-8 (U-9) is a tough division.
The forwards looked great. Six different forwards scored, that is awesome!! I saw some good dribbling. I would like to see some more cuts, passing and using the wall to pass to themselves or the other forwards. Everyone stayed in their zone except for one or two but I'll adjust that. Remind them to stay in their zones and flow with the ball. After they shoot they need to follow thru not stay in the same position.
The defenders again did great. Please talk to the girls and tell them when the far wing is attacking and the middle defender is going to help, the defender in the opposite side from the ball must flow to the middle or back to protect the goaly. We had too many defenders getting caught up front, away from the ball, just waiting there. Again I'll adjust that in the next game.
Goalies, you didn't see much action but great job. They were held scoreless. I can GUARANTEE that the next three games you will see a lot of action. So it is very very important that they practice at home with you and save the ball from the front not the side. Work on punting and someone shooting the ball at them!
Next game will be a good one. Wildcats are undefeated also like us. They beat rave 5-1. Rave only had 6 girls the whole game no subs but the wildcats were too much. SuperGirls are also undefeated.

Great Win
We started a little shaky the first half of the game. The Rave girls remembered we beat them during the regular season 11- 1 so they were out for revenge! They played man on man and our girls were trying to play their game instead of zone like I prepared them for. The second half I got them focused again and playing our game and it showed. We scored five more in the second half and took the 6-0 victory. We had four different girls score! even one defender!!
The forwards looked great. We need to concentrate on more dribbling and cutting and if they are in trouble they need to pass. Please talk to your daughters that play forward, to float with the ball. If the ball is far wing (side close to the wall) then the center forward has to float closer to that forward and at that time the opposite side forward should be in the middle. IF the ball is in the center of the field then everyone should be in their zones. If you don't understand please call me and I'll explain it better on the phone.
Defenders looked great, I would like to see harder kicks and if they have space in front of them they need to dribble up then pass up to a forward!

The teams to watch out for are the Wildcats and Supergirls. They both won also and we are all tied for first place. Wildcats beat Extreme 3-0. They are fast and very aggressive.

Please be there 30 minutes before each game! Goalies bring your gloves!
