MIdland Hotel Info
Some of the better (affordable) rooms for Midland have already been booked. We don't want the roach motel, but if you're like us you can't always afford the 5-star hotel either.
We have blocked 11 rooms at the La Quinta Inn in Midland. All double bed, non smoking. One for each family. They may still have more if you need another. If you are planning on staying with family or somewhere else, let us know and maybe someone else can have your room.
They are a group rate of $80.10 per night with check in Oct 31 and check out Nov 2. (2 nights)They are blocked for "Lubbock SuperStars"; each person will need to call by OCT 10th and reserve your room with your name and exact dates needed. Any leftover rooms after that time will be released to the hotel for the tournament.
Let us know soon when you "confirm" your room........so we can have a good idea of what's going on.

Battle of the 1-0's
Well, we thought it was going to be a battle but it didn't shape out that way. Our team dominated the PinkPanthers 13-1 and sent them into the losing column. The girls looked great. I still want to see more passing from all the forwards.
Remember this rule forwards: If you have one defender in front of you, use your dribble/cut and beat them. If you have more than one defender in front of you then you MUST pass the ball! Defenders keep up the good work---just kick the ball harder!
Hope everyone enjoyed the Texas Tech game. So sorry about the heat! It was a thriller that went to overtime. The girls looked great doing the ball patrol. The scrimmage was more of a herd ball competition that turned out a 0-0 tie. I can't wait till we play them in three weeks!
Practice is this Thursday. 6:00 - 7:30 Cooke Park. We need everyone present!
Make sure on saturday game day that the girls don't eat anything heavy for lunch that will slow them down in the afternoon!
